About Nancy

Nancy, a perfect city for students

Nancy is a dynamic town bursting with life and organising events for everyone and especially for students!

Over 105,000 people live in Nancy spread over around 15km² (if Grand Nancy is included this figure quadruples) and almost half of them are students!

A City of Culture

Place Stanislas, which is a must-see meeting point of the city, was built by Stanislas Leszczynski to honour and glorify his son-in-law, Louis XV. This square is also classified as one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. As the first French royal square ever to be built, it sanctifies a very distinguished image of royalty, while being host to many popular festivities.

Not only has Nancy a distinctive style of architecture, but also numerous museums: Musée des Beaux-Arts, Musée Lorrain, Musée de l’Ecole de Nancy, Musée de l’Histoire du fer, Galerie Poirel, Maison Prouvé, Aquarium Muséum, and Jardin Botanique

Nancy

Given that Nancy is near the Belgian, Luxembourgish and German borders, it is a strategic crossing point for most Europeans.
